As a friend of Jonathan I stayed with the Dellars in the mid 1980s. My enduring memory is of Ann's warm welcome and hospitality; and particularly the way in which she took a real and genuine interest in me as an individual. I was also profoundly touched by the way my room was prepared in advance with an arrangement of freshly picked flowers on the windowsill. That I remember these things with clarity after all these years indicates that Ann was truly an exceptional and very special person.
